PURPOSE: To provide the title apparatus capable of giving an excellent yarn having high strength, by transporting a fiber bundle in a state separated into plural rows at one or more parts other than the position of a twister to form a drafted fiber bundle into yarn and a position of a twister before the above twister.
CONSTITUTION: An additional shaft 22 is supported by a bearing between back rollers 4a, 4b and middle rollers 5a, 5b, etc. A rotor 25 having rhomboid cross- section is fixed and rotated at nearly the same speed as the back roller in the same direction. A sliver S delivered from the back roller is separated into two rows having the same width, drafted while keeping the state of parallel two rows and introduced into air-ejection nozzles 31, 32. The rotor 25 may be positioned between the back roller and a sliver guide 12.
