Title:
SPIRAL BRUSH FOR PRE-CLEANING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010117521
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a spiral brush for pre-cleaning that prevents a service life from being shortened by sounding, vibration, and degradation of an electrostatic latent image carrier by friction between a cleaning blade and the electrostatic latent image carrier, avoids the installation of a lubricant applying device, reduces the cost of an image forming device, and saves the space thereof.

This spiral brush 22 for pre-cleaning is disposed upstream in the rotation direction of the cleaning blade for removing residual toner after transfer on a photoreceptor drum. A brush 22a is spirally formed on a brush shaft 22b, and is electrostatically filled. The spiral of the brush 22a is bilaterally symmetric to convey the residual toner to both sides of the longitudinal direction of the photoreceptor drum. The pitch of the spiral is denser in a part slidably coming into contact with both outsides of the longitudinal direction of photoreceptor drum than in a part slidably coming into contact with the inside of the longitudinal direction.
