Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral processing device of a glass tube capable of processing a glass tube into a spiral form safely and as automated so that a less experienced worker can process a glass tube to have a smooth spiral form, and to provide a method of producing a spiral wound glass tube.
SOLUTION: The spiral processing device of a glass tube comprises a glass tube stand 10 having a supporting arm 15 on which a glass tube G is laid lengthwise, a conveying roller system 30 set close to the glass tube stand 10 to convey the glass tube, a heating unit B to heat the glass tube conveyed by the conveying roller system 30, a wind-up drum 59 around which the glass tube G acquiring plasticity through heating by the heating unit B is wound, and a driving unit driving the wind-up drum to rotate and move to the axial direction, where the spiral processing of a glass tube G is made by moving the wind-up drum 59 to the axial direction while winding the glass tube G acquiring plasticity around the wind-up drum 59.
