To provide a slippage prevention device for a spiral rod to reduce wind pressure load and a wind noise preventing cable provided therewith, the device reliably preventing insufficient contact of the rod to the cable as well as slippage of the rod therefrom even when the diameter of the spiral rod is small.

A spiral rod slippage prevention device, whose final shape is cylindrical going around a cable and which is provided with a thin-wall hinge section on one side of opposing sides sandwiching the cylindrical axis and an open section on the other, the open section having a male-female engagement structure, has a groove in the inside perimeter on the radial section between the engagement section and the hinge section to allow the spiral rod to pass through; the prevention device is attached to a cable wrapped with a spiral rod. Also, the final shape may be cylindrical consisting of two half-shells going around a cable, the mating sides having a male- female engagement structure; a groove is provided in the inside perimeter on the radial section between the engagement structures to allow the spiral rod to pass through. The prevention device is attached to a cable wrapped with a spiral rod to provide a wind noise preventing cable.
