Abstract:

To provide a spiral type membrane module for controlling the increase of film resistance and carrying out the effective gas-liquid contact operation.

Gas liquid contact membranes are overlapped on both ends of a first fluid flow path material and wound spirally around a second fluid feed pipe 11 together with a second fluid flow path material to form spiral type membrane elements 10. The spiral type elements 10 are stored in a cylindrical container 2 and their outer peripheral ends are sealed with sealing sections 10b and 10c. A first fluid is fed from a first fluid inlet 4, passed through a first fluid flow path 19 in parallel with the second fluid feed pipe 11 and discharged out of a first fluid outlet 6. A second fluid is fed from a second fluid inlet 11a into the second fluid feed pipe 11, passed from a feed opening 11b through a spiral second fluid flow path 18 and discharged out of a second fluid outlet 7.
