Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the objective uniform spiral woven fabric suitable as a member for disk-like or conical highly strong composite materials by using a reed in which the intervals of reed blades are changed in response to their distances from the center of the spiral and weaving warps and wefts so that the density of the wefts are inversely proportional to their distances from the center of the spiral.
CONSTITUTION: Warps Sp and wefts Sf having same or different finenesses, respectively, are used. The warps Sp are arranged in the circumferential direction of the spiral through a reed 12 in which the intervals of the reed blades are changed in response to their distances from the center A of the spiral in the radial direction. The wefts Sf are arranged in the state tilted in the radial direction of the spiral and picked into the warps so that the density of the wefts are lowered from the inner circumference of the spiral toward its outer circumference in inverse proportion to their distances from the center A of the spiral to uniformize the METSUKE (unit weight) of the spiral woven fabric irrespective of the distances from the center A of the spiral.
