PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft device that enables a helical pitch to be controlled in a wide range and with high reproducibility and the outer shape of which can be deformed into a continuous spiral shape.SOLUTION: A soft device comprises a flexible columnar member and a linearly-deformable actuator. The columnar member includes a guide space spiral with respect to its central axis. The actuator is arranged in the guide space. The soft device deforms the columnar member by driving the actuator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
