Title:
SPLASH PREVENTIVE TOOL FOR FOOTWEAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09262107
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To ensure the prevention of a splash during walking on a rainy day or the like by raising the rear part of a horizontal plate, bending back the raised rear part at the prescribed height for forming a clamping part, and then extending the bent clamping part downward for forming a splash preventing board of curved sector shape.

A rear part of a horizontal plate 1 is bent and raised upward. Then, the raised rear part is bent back to form a clamping part 2. Furthermore, the clamping part 2 is extended downward, thereby forming a splash preventing board 3 of curved sector shape. When the splash preventixye tool so formed is used, the clamping part 2 is inserted in space at the heel part of a shoe and the horizontal plate 1 is stepped on with the heel to fix the board 3 to the shoe. Also, when the splash preventive tool is mounted on the shoe, water drops or mud splashed from the heel part is interrupted with the board 3, even during an ordinary walk on the road fouled with rain or mud. Thus, the cuffs of trousers or the like can be prevented from being fouled. In the case of footwear such as a sandal. the clamping part 2 is omitted and the board 3 is directly formed out of the horizontal plate 1. Then, the board 3 is bonded and fixed by use of a double-sided adhesive tape or the like.
