PURPOSE: To allow the system to conduct proper split charging based on concurrence between both a caller and a called party.

CONSTITUTION: A tone generator 13 and a register 12 are connected to an exchange by hooking from a caller telephone set 10, and upon the receipt of a split charging special number and a split charge ratio from the telephone set 10 as a dial number, the exchange makes the announcement of the split charge ratio to a called party telephone set 20. Upon the receipt of a signal representing acceptance or reject from the telephone set 20 by a PB receiver 15, the exchange makes announcement of the result to the telephone set 10 and restores the state to the speech state. When the speech is finished, the exchange outputs charging data and processes the data based on the result of a split charging. As a result, much more detailed charging service is served to a general subscriber different from the conventional split charging.
