PURPOSE: To obtain a split mold for vulcanizing a tire that can remarkably facilitate the removal of a vulcanized tire and the introduction of an unvulcanized tire, by improving the structures of a hook, a hook receiver, and a sector.

CONSTITUTION: The hook 10 for moving the sector 3 in the radial direction (a) is secured in a sector notch part 20 provided at the lower intermediate part of the bottom surface of the sector 3 in such a way that the hook section 11 of the hook 10 does not extend from the bottom surface 3a of the sector 3. On the other hand, the hook receiver 30 is secured in a notch part 40 formed in a bottom force 2 in such a way that the engaging hole 31 of the hook receiver 30 is positioned on the side of the top force 1 away from a sliding surface 2a of the bottom force 2. When this split mold E1 is closed, the hook section of the hook 10 and the engaging hole 31 of the hook receiver 30 can engage at a point on the side of the top force 1 away from the sliding surface 2a of the bottom force 2.
