Abstract:
To provide a split outer ring of a bearing which allows easy checking of dislocation of splitting surfaces from each other ocularly.
The split outer ring 11 has a shape of a circular arc formed by splitting a bearing outer ring 31 circumferentially and consists of a plurality of segments 12 having a splitting surface at each of the circumferential ends. The segments 12 are furnished with markers 26 in ink to enable checking that each pair of splitting surfaces are aligned without involving dislocation while the segments 12 are arranged in the form of a bearing outer ring by connecting one split surface 18 with the other one 18. The markers 26 may be formed under inscription.
