Abstract:
To provide a Chikatabi (a split-toed heavy-cloth Japanese shoes with rubber soles) comfortable to wear which preserves to the utmost a barefoot feeling peculiar to the Chikatabi, facilitates starting, etc., by preventing the center of gravity from shifting backside, and can stand long time use.
With respect to the Chikatabi which is made up by joining an earthing sole 2A and an upper composed of a tubular calf covering part and a vamp part, a stamping section and a heel section in the upper surface of the earthing sole 2A are formed approximately evenly with the earthing surface, and a sloping surface S ascending from around the central portion of an arch 25 toward a heel 24 side is formed on the heel 24 section of the earthing sole 2A.
