PURPOSE: To improve the strength of each spoke and reduce the weight of the whole of a spoke type wheel by reducing the dimension of a hub body, as to the spoke type wheel which is constituted so that spokes are laid between a hub body which is externally fitted in a turnable manner on an axle and a rim.

CONSTITUTION: Each spoke 3 is constituted by providing an engagement head part 34 at one edge of a rectilinear shaft part, and on the other hub body 2, a bowl part 21 whose edge part is opened and is constituted so that a rolling bearing unit 5 is accommodated at both the edge parts is formed. Spoke holes 44 are penetration-formed on the bowl part 21, and the inner circumferential diameter at the opened edge of the bowl part 21 is set to the dimension for the insertion of the rectilinear spoke 3 to the spoke hole 24 from the inner peripheral side of the bowl part 21, and at the spoke hole formation part on the inner peripheral surface of the bowl part 21, a recessed part 26 for accommodating the engagement head part 34 between the outer periphery of the rolling bearing unit 5 is formed.
