To make it possible easily mold a grip part of sporting goods, such as a golf club, so as to meet a user and to use the sporting goods in an optimum state by forming the grip part of a thermoplastic resin having a softening temperature higher than the human body temperature.
The golf club 1 has a slender rod-like shaft 4 and the front end of this shaft 4 is provided with a head 5. The base end of the shaft 4 is provided with the grip 2. The grip 2 is formed of a grip member 3 of a slender and approximately cylindrical shape. The thermoplastic resin or shape memory plastic having the softening temperature higher than the human body temperature and lower than the boiling temperature of water, more adequately the softening temperature of 60 to 100°C, is used as the material used for this member. The user grips the grip 2 like in a use state in the state of heating the grip member 3 to the softening temperature or above, by which the grip member 3 is deformed and is then cooled and the grip 2 having optimun gripping degree optimum for the user is obtained.
