Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for locating a spot at which local vehicles are collected at a time of the occurrence of a predetermined event such as a disaster, using vehicle probe information.SOLUTION: A spot locating device comprises a probe information storage unit storing probe information acquired from each probe vehicle and containing ignition information and position information, generates a trigger signal on the basis of a predetermined condition, determines a processing target region in response to the input of the generated trigger signal, extracts (as first extraction) probe vehicles each of which is located within the determined region and whose ignition information indicates an OFF-state, extracts (as second extraction) the probe vehicles whose ignition information changes to an ON-state after the generation of the trigger signal from the probe vehicles extracted in the first extraction, and locates a spot at which the probe vehicles extracted in the second extraction are collected.
