Title:
SPOT TYPE DISK BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6073130
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
A housing (1) especially of a spot-type disc brake is disposed in axially displaceable manner relative to a stationary mounting support by means of at least one guide element (2) fixed in a mounting bore (3) in the support or housing (1) and, with the guide portion (5) thereof, being axially disposed in a guide bore of the housing or support, the guide element (2) being fixed to housing (1) or to the support by (plastic) deformation (11, 14) of the guide element (2) within the mounting bore (3). As shown, guide element (2) is a carrier sleeve although it may be a carrier bolt - and the guide element may be force or push fitted into the mounting bore prior to the deformation. In Fig. 1 carrier sleeve (2) is shown deformed by expansion (14) to slope (6) in mounting bore (3) by means of caulking by a ball. In Fig. 3 deformation (11) engages groove (10). Fig. 4 has a plug pressed into the carrier sleeve - such could be used together with the embodiments of Figs. 1, 3.
