CONSTITUTION: An iris unit 27 is interposed between a metal halide lamp and a moving lens. When a dial 43 is turned, a rotary disc 40 is turned so that a number of shutter blades interposed between the rotary disc 40 and a fixed frame 38 are interlocked using respective pivot shafts as fulcra. Thereby, the aperture of a window for passing through light made of the respective shutter blades is changed so that the luminous energy of the radiating light of the metal halide lamp can be controlled.
