PURPOSE: To obtain casting free from blow holes at the circumferential part and high in filling density and dense in structure by spraying molten steel from an upper part in a mold and making this mold flat and oscillatory.

CONSTITUTION: A mold 15 is provided in a chamber 11. A vessel 12 for molten steel is arranged at the upper part of the chamber 11 and the nozzle 13 at its bottom part is inserted into the chamber 11. The molten steel 16 stored in this container 12 for molten steel is made to flow down from the nozzle 13, sprayed by a gas jet nozzle 14 from the upper part into a mold 15 and casting 17 is formed in the mold 15 containing a cooling water pipe 15A. In such a spray casting device, this mold 15 is formed flat and so constructed that it can oscillate by a driving source 15D through an operating lever 15B, a communication level 15C and a pulley 15E. The molten steel 16 accumulated in this mold 15 is shallow in depth and oscillate right and left, the gas contained in the molten steel is diffused uniformly from the surface and the molten steel is filled closely. Consequently, casting 17 free from blow holes on the circumferential part and dense in structure can be obtained.
