To provide a spray dampener apparatus coping with two kinds of standard printing paper which are first standard printing paper with wide paper width and second standard printing paper with narrow paper width in a rotary press used for printing newspapers or the like.

The spray dampener apparatus includes a first nozzle array with spray nozzles arranged at spaces corresponding to the first standard paper, and a second nozzle array with spray nozzles arranged at spaces corresponding to the second standard paper. Spray pattern angles are different between the first nozzle array and the second nozzle array. No uneven part is formed to the amount of spray at the overlap portion of spray patterns even if the spacing of adjacent spray nozzles differs.
