PURPOSE: To enable an easy end positive melt spraying word to be attained by a method wherein the melt spraying for making an inner lining of refractory material is carried out by using a multi-phase multi-electrode multi-arc generating means.

CONSTITUTION: When each of voltages of three-phase AC power supply from current phase adjusting devices 4, 5 and 6 is supplied to electrodes 1, 1A, electrodes 2, 2A and electrodes 3, 3A, respectively, multi-arc is generated among a total number of six electrodes and at the same time a non-transition plasma arc 10 is emitted from an extreme end 9 of the electrode. As a material to be melt-sprayed 12 is supplied from a feeding port 13, the material passes through a feeding pipe 16 and is supplied to a center part of the extreme end 9 of the arc form above, the material is heated and melted at an ultra high temperature with the maximum high temperature hear flow of the arc 10 and then the material is ejected toward an inner surface of a refractory brick 21. As a result, a lining film 22 is formed at the inner surface. A melt spraying machine with this multi-arc enables CaO or the like to be melted and fixed only in a few minutes and an inner lining having a quite superior heat resistance and thermal insulation can be attained.
