In the spread spectrum type radar apparatus 100, a first oscillation signal is modulated by a first pseudo noise code, a spread signal of a spectral-spread signal is radiated as a radio wave for detection, a detection radio wave reflected from an object is received as a reception signal. Additionally, the spread spectrum type radar apparatus forms a demodulation signal which is generated by despreading the reception signal, based on a second pseudo noise code and the first oscillation signal. The spread spectrum type radar apparatus includes a repetition code generating circuit 408a which generates a repetition code by generating a code on predetermined frequency, and an exclusive OR operation circuit 409a which outputs the result obtained by performing the exclusive OR operation between the pseudo noise code in which the first pseudo noise code is time-delayed and the repetition code as the second pseudo noise code.
