PURPOSE: To insert a coil spring reliably into the spring holding hole, by constructing such that the coil spring is injected into the spring holding hole on the basis of a signal from a mark detector.

CONSTITUTION: Marks 10 constituted of through-holes of same number with the snapring holding hole 6 are made with same interval while corresponding with said hole 6 at the outercircumference of a work table 2 of a spring grinder. A transmitter 28 and a receiver 30 are constituting a mark detector 32 which will contact with a controller 34. While a spring distribution 36 is arranged on the table 2. The shutter shafts are inserted retrievably into each hole made at upper and lower portions of the side wall of a tubular spring path in said table 36. Furthermore an air nozzle is provided on the table 36. With such structure the coil spring can be inserted reliably into the hole 6.
