The spring strut support bearing, which is connected to a body and to an automotive shock absorber positioned on each axle, has a main body fabricated from elastic material. When force acts on the spring strut support bearing, the main body impacts an upper stopper or a lower stopper after passing across a free clearance. A stop cup fabricated from metal is U-shaped in section, used as a stopper, provided with a horizontal annular circumferential collar on the top, and disposed in an opening through the main body. The main body has an annular circumferential groove with an upper wall and a lower wall in the region of the collar. The collar extends in a freely movable state in the groove with the clearance to the upper wall and the lower wall.
