To provide a spring type belt conveyor capable of letting a conveyance belt run by effectively using elastic force stored by winding a spring by human labor only when required to save energy greatly without using electric power at all.
When an input lever 8 is turned in the arrow mark A direction, an input shaft 7 also turns, and a gear 23 fixed to the input shaft 7 turns integrally in the arrow mark A direction. Gears 22, 21 turn in the arrow mark B direction, a gear 20 and a driving shaft 5a turn in the arrow mark C direction, and the spring connected with the driving shaft 5a is gradually wound with force to store elastic energy. When a turn angle in the arrow mark A direction reaches about 150 degrees, an end of a part 23a having no tooth of the gear 23 reaches a part meshing with the gear 22 to release meshing. A rotary shaft 21a and the driving shaft 5a turn in the reverse direction to each arrow mark by energy by which the spring is loosened, respectively, and a driving roller 5 rotates counterclockwise to let the conveyance belt 4 run in the arrow mark D direction.
