Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprinkler system for a storage tank capable of reliably removing rust that accumulates inside a water sprinkling pipe, and preventing clogging of each sprinkler nozzle, reducing the frequency of inspection and cleaning, or omitting inspection and cleaning by causing the sprinkler system to have a function to clean each sprinkler nozzle.SOLUTION: A sprinkler system 1 for a storage tank includes a water sprinkling pipe 3 arranged along a circumferential direction of a storage tank 2, and a sprinkler nozzle 4 provided to the water sprinkling pipe 3. A drainage pipe 7 that extends to the vicinity of the ground surface is connected to the end edge of the water sprinkling pipe 3, and an on-off valve 8 is provided to the vicinity of the end edge of the drainage pipe 7. The on-off valve 8 provided to the drainage pipe 7 is opened so that the water flowing in the water sprinkling pipe 3 is caused to be discharged together with the rust in the water sprinkling pipe at once through the drainage pipe 7. Also, by the discharging through the drainage pipe 7, ambient air is sucked through the sprinkler nozzle 4 by an ejector effect generated by the water flowing in the water sprinkling pipe 3 so that a solid material such as rust adhering to or accumulated in the inside of the sprinkler nozzle 4 can be removed by this suction of ambient air.
