Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent splashing of cooling water to the outside of a cooling tower even when an eliminator is not arranged.
SOLUTION: A sprinkling pipe 1 is horizontally arranged at the upper part and a filler 2 for a counterflow is arranged at a lower part. A plurality of sprinkling holes 3 are formed at intervals in a longitudinal direction in the side of the sprinkling pipe 1 and a plate 4 for forming a water film is arranged at the side of the sprinkling pipe 1. As a result of a water flow flowing out through the sprinkling water holes 3 being collided with the plate 4 for forming a water film, a water flow is spread in a film-form state by the plate 4 for forming a water film and caused to flow down to the filler 2. In this constitution, a baffle plate-shaped splash-preventing means to prevent upward splash of a water flow, flowing down from the plate 4 by air flow from the filler 2 side is arranged at the plate 4.
