Title:
SPUN BOND NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03249255
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the title nonwoven fabric having high tenacity, softness and excellent handle by substantially uniformly blending polyethylene filament yarn having approximately circular cross section with polypropylene filament yarn having polyphyllous cross section.

CONSTITUTION: Polyethylene resin and polypropylene resin are melted, spun by using a single spinneret (e.g. circular hole for polyethylene resin and slit hole of Y-shape or cross shape for polypropylene resin), introduced to one air sucker set by cooled solidified length of both the filaments to form polyethylene filament having approximately circular cross section and polypropylene filament having polyphyllous (at least ≥ three leaves) cross section. After delivering from the air sucker, 20-80wt.% of the polyethylene filament and 80-20wt.% of the polypropylene filament are opened, mixed and piled to give the objective nonwoven fabric.
