Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spun roving for a spool filter medium excellent in steam heat resistance and having no change in the pressure loss of the liquid filtering of condensate of a coal boiler or the like and having stable quality.
SOLUTION: In the filter medium formed by spirally winding spun roving around the outer peripheral surface of a core, which comprises a cylindrical body made of a punched metal having a large number of small holes, in a crossing state over a plurality of layers, the degree of elongation of the spun roving is set to 40% or less to obtain the filter medium capable of filtering a liquid as the spool filter medium and having stable pressure loss.
