PURPOSE: To obtain the subject textured yarn having a specific value or below of crimp development ratio in false twisted multilayer conjugate yarn and excellent spun yarnlike appearance without fluffiness on fabric and soft hand effects with drapeability by wrapping sheath yarn around core yarn at a specific number of plying.

CONSTITUTION: Textured yarn is obtained by previously plying (A) polyester yarn having 130×10-3 birefringence ratio (Δn) with (B) polyester yarn having 20×10-3 to 60×10-3 birefringence ratio (Δn) at a number of twists expressed by the formula [D is the thickness (denier) of the textured yarn; T is the number (t/m) plying] and then false twist texturing the plied yarn at a false twisting temperature of ≥80°C and below the thermal stress peak temperature H (°C) of the yarn of the component (A). In the textured yarn, either of the two or more kinds of the filament yarns is core yarn and the other yarn is false twisted multilayer conjugate yarn in which the other yarn is wrapped around the core yarn. The crimp development ratio (CC) of the false twisted multilayer conjugate yarn is ≤10% and the number of the plying T (t/m) is expressed by the formula.
