Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a silent automobile transmission having a small structural space requirement.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a spur gear 10 for use in transmitting a gear mechanism of an automobile transmission comprising: a first gear main body 14 with helical teeth forming first teeth 18; and a second gear main body 16 with inverse helical teeth with respect to the first gear main body 14 to form a herring-bone gear mechanism for forming second teeth 20. The first teeth 18 and the second teeth 20 face to each other to overlap with each other at least partially in pairs at axial side surfaces facing each other of the first gear main body 14 and the second gear main body 16. A first tooth surface 26 of the first tooth 18 faces, in an axial direction, a second tooth surface 28 of a second tooth 30 subsequent to the facing second tooth 20 in a circumferential direction at the axial side surface of the first gear main body 14 facing the second gear main body 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
