Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably provide a lead alloy sheet which is used to form a grating for a lead-acid battery through expand-processing, by integrating a Pb-Ca-Sn alloy continuous cast body and a Pb-Sn-Sb alloy thin film in one body through cold rolling.
CONSTITUTION: In a process of manufacturing a grating through laying a Pb-Sn- Sb alloy thin film 1 on the surface of a Pb-Ca-Sn alloy continuous cast body 2, integrating them in one body by cold rolling to form a lead alloy sheet, and expand-processing of the lead alloy sheet, a rolled body which has been rolled to be not less than 1/1000 and not more than 1/10 of its former thickness, is used as the thin film 1. In this way, separation and breakage of the Pb-Sn-Sb alloy thin film 1 from and on the Pb-Ca-Sn alloy continuous cast body 2 can be prevented, and a lead alloy rolled sheet for grating can be supplied stably.
