Abstract:
To obtain a squarylium compound useful for a photoelectric transducer, its metal complex and a photoelectrochemical cell, etc., using the same.
The squarylium compound is represented by general formula (I) or its metal complex. The squarylium compound is used in an inexpensive photoelectric transducer having high energy conversion efficiency. The metal complex of the squarylium compound is obtained. The photoelectrochemical cell, etc., are obtained by using the photoelectric transducer.
