To provide a squeak noise simulator and a squeak noise simulation method for simulating squeak noise of a dry-type partition wall caused by wind in a flexible structure building.
Squeak noise in an actual building is considered to occur in a process in which frictional force is increased by an increase in a true contact area caused by early abrasion to result in noise occurrence. The accumulation of displacement amounts is found which is calculated from wind velocities/wind frequency at a planned construction site and from building properties. In a tester, the partition wall as a test body 11 is vibrated. After a lapse of a certain period of time, interlayer displacement is caused to occur therein by an amount corresponding to the accumulation, making it possible to create the state of the partition wall on the assumption that around one month has passed after the completion of construction. An abrasion speed is set at 0.3 to 1 mm/sec to simulate waveforms similar to those produced when a movement occurs in the actual building owing to wind.
