Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost during manufacture of a vibration isolating ring, to prevent the occurrence of unevenness in a squeal prevention effect, and to improve a suppression effect against a different vibration frequency.
SOLUTION: In squeal prevention structure wherein a vibration isolating ring 60 is mounted on a clutch housing 56 and the occurrence of a squeal due to vibration of the clutch housing 56 is prevented, the vibration isolating ring 60 comprises a round annular ring body 60a having approximately the same diameter as that of a drum wall 56a; and a bottom part 60b extending radially internally from the peripheral edge on one end side of the ring body 60a. A plurality of protrusions parts 62 expanding toward the central side and extending axially from a corner between a bottom and a peripheral edge and recessed in the ring body 60a at intervals of a given distance in a peripheral direction. The vibration control ring 60 is mounted on the clutch housing 56 with a pressure such that the protrusion parts 62 are forced into pressure contact with the part, situated closer to a corner part 56c between the drum wall 56a and a bottom wall 56b, of the drum wall 56a, and the part, except the vicinity of the protrusion parts 62, of the ring body 60a is forced into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the drum wall 56a through the pressure contact.
