Abstract:
To provide a squeeze casting method for a double booster cold chamber die cast machine.SOLUTION: A double boost cold chamber die cast machine comprises: a horizontal injection plunger and a vertical injection plunger; a horizontal melting pot and a vertical melting pot; and a horizontal booster injection system and a vertical booster injection system. The horizontal booster injection system drives the horizontal injection plunger and practices an injection operation and a booster operation in the horizontal melting pot, and the vertical booster injection system drives the vertical injection plunger and can practice an injection operation and a booster operation in the vertical melting pot. The double booster injection system performs first squeeze to a molten metal via either booster injection system to reduce shrinkage cavities and pores at the inside of a die cast product and performs second squeeze to the metal of a solid-liquid mixed phase via the other booster injection system at higher ratio pressure to collapse shrinkage cavities and pores, to refine crystal grains, to perform T6 treatment more satisfactorily, to impart weldability and to improve mechanical properties.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
