Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a beautifying cosmetic having excellently beautifying effect on skin, sufficient shelf stability and high safety.
CONSTITUTION: First, about 100mg of a dried material of Mucuna birdwoodiaiana, a crude medicine, is ground by a mixer, its ground material and 500ml of 50% ethyl alcohol are put in a flask and extracted at 50°C for one hour while stirring. After the extraction, the solution is filtered by suction and the prepared solution is concentrated under reduced pressure at 50°C by an evaporator. Then the prepared concentrate is dried under reduced pressure to give 11.9g brown crystal (extracted substance) and 0.01-5.0% of the prepared extract as an active ingredient is added to a cosmetic.
