Title:
STABILIZATION OF N-VINYLCARBOXYLIC ACID AMIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3584601
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise stability of an N-vinylcarboxylic acid amide in purification, transportation, preservation, etc., and to stably obtain a high-quality product by adding a specific α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound to an N-vinylcarboxylic acid amide.
SOLUTION: (B) An α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound of the formula (R1 is H, an alkyl, an aryl or an alkoxy; R2 is an alkyl, an alkenyl or an aryl; R3 and R4 are each H, an alkyl, an alkenyl or an aryl) is added to (A) an N-vinylcarboxylic acid amide. The amount of the component B added is preferably 0.01-5wt.% based on the component A. N-Vinylformamide is preferable as the component A and crotonaldehyde, 2,4-hexadienal, cinnamic aldehyde, etc., are preferable as the component B.
