PURPOSE: To stabilize a chlorine-contg. polymer without using any organotin compd., hydrotalicte compd. or the like by compounding a sterically hindered amine, an org. or inorg. zinc compd. or the like.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 pts.wt. chlorine-contg. polymer is compounded with (B) 0.01 to 2 pts.wt. sterically hindered amine which is a polyalkylpiperidine deriv. contg. a group of formula I (wherein R is H or methyl), (C) 0.01 to 3 pts.wt. org. or inorg. zinc compd. (e.g. a zinc salt of 7-20C aliph. carboxylic acid), (D) 0.01 to 3 pts.wt. org. or inorg. calcium, magnesium and/or barium compd. (e.g. a calcium, magnesium or barium salt of 7-20C aliph. carboxylic acid) and (E) 0.05 to 2 pts.wt. 1,3-dicarbonyl compd. of formula II (wherein R1 is 1-22C alkyl or the like; R2 is H, 1-8C alkyl or the like; and R3 is the same as R1 or 1-4C alkyl or the like). This polymer is free of an organotin compd., a hydrotalcite compd. and a foaming agent.
