Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an oxidatively stabilized polymer compsn. and a process for preparing the same.
CONSTITUTION: This oxidatively stabilized polymer compsn. is obtd. by using an antioxidant comprising a polymer of dicyclopentadiene and a phenolic compd., and, pref., by a reaction with a polyolefin in the melt phase in the presence of a radical initiator. This antioxidant present in a form non- extractable with cyclohexane. Addition of organotin esters, sulphides, or thioethers reduces the color.
