Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stabilized voltage controlled oscillator circuit that is suitable for use in an electronic visual supporting tool.
SOLUTION: This circuit includes a harmonic mixer 37 which receives a frequency signal of a stabilized local oscillator(LO) from a local oscillator 40, receives a radio frequency signal from an output of a voltage-controlled oscillator 34 and mixes an LO frequency signal with an RF signal for obtaining an intermediate frequency signal, an IF amplifier 56 connected for receive an IF signal, a linear frequency discriminator 44 which is connected to receive an output signal from the amplifier 56 and configured to give an output voltage signal, and a summing amplifier 46 which has a 1st input that is connected to receive the output voltage signal and configured to give an output signal that is supplied to an input of a voltage-controlled oscillator 34. Then, while it is being used, a closed loop circuit gives a feedback signal for stabilizing the oscillator 34 by the use of the discriminator 44.
