PURPOSE: To deposit gold on the surface of gold from a stable bath capable of repeatingly using without applying current by adding a glycol derivative or polyethyleneimine as an stabilizer in a water based alkaline gold bath for electroless depositing gold on the surface of gold and a metal more electrically negative than gold.

CONSTITUTION: In the stabilized water based alkaline gold bath for electroless depositing gold on the surface of gold, the metal more electrically negative than gold and the alloy and containing dicyano gold (I)-complex, a complex builder, an alkali hydroxide and a reducing agent, at least one kind of a compound selected from a group of the glycol derivative or polyethyleneimine is blended as the stabilizer. The stabilizer is used in the concentration of 50-700g/L in the bath.
