To obtain a new compound useful as a stabilizer for stabilizing chlorine-containing polymers, esp. PVC.
This new compound is shown by formula I or formula II (A and Y are each a 1-8C alkyl, 3-8C alkenyl, etc.; R1 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; R2 is a 1-8C alkyl, NH2, etc.; R3 is H, a 1-8C alkyl, 3-8C alkenyl, etc.; X is O or S; (m) is 2-6; R5 and R6 are each a 1-8C alkyl, 3-8C alkenyl, etc.; R7, R8 and R9 are each a 2-5C alkylene interrupted by O, NH or N-CH3), e.g. tris-[N,N-di- iso-propylethylenediamino]triazine. The compound of formula I or formula II is combined with an organozinc compound bearing Zn-O or Zn-S bond into the objective stabilizer. Besides, an alkali metal carboxylate, epoxidized fatty acid ester and/or phosphite may be incorporated in the stabilizer.
