Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive stabilizer in which compression residual stress which is distributed deeply on a surface layer is applied, and fatigue durability is enhanced.SOLUTION: A stabilizer is formed by using a solid structure metallic bar, and suppress displacement of left and right wheels. Diameter of a torsion part which extends in a vehicle width direction and deforms by twisting deformation, is 10-32 mm. The stabilizer comprises a chemical composition containing at least 0.15 mass% or more and 0.39 mass% or less of C, Mn, B, and Fe, and comprises a martensite structure in 90% or more of the metallic structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
