Title:
STABLE CELL LINE AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING GASTROINTESTINAL ABSORPTION OF CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013240340
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a stable cell line, a kit and a method for predicting absorption of chemical substances such as drugs, nutrition supplements, environmental chemical substances accompanying administration to animals and humans.

In a cell expressing membrane discharge transport proteins such as Caco-2 cell, C2BBel cell, HT-29 cell and the like derived from animal gastrointestinal tracts, a nucleic acid and a vector for inhibiting the expression of such a protein are provided. A cell and a cell line having such a nucleic acid and a vector are also provided. Furthermore, a method for screening a chemical substance and a biomolecule for gastrointestinal absorption in an animal is provided. A method for predicting the gastrointestinal absorption of a compound by bringing the cell into contact with a test compound, measuring a transcellular transport of the test compound and comparing with a reference value is also provided.
