PURPOSE: To obtain a stable composition of the subjected substance, capable of ensuring excellent stability even within a neutral pH region and useful as a remedy for malignant tumors by blending an anthracycline-based antibiotic substance having an amino sugar with water-soluble polyanions.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition obtained by blending an anthracycline- based antibiotic substance [e.g. doxorubicin (adriamycin)] having an amino sugar with water-soluble polyanions having ≥40% interaction based on the above-mentioned antibiotic substance. Furthermore, e.g. natural and synthetic polymers having acidic residues, such as sulfuric acid, assuming negative charges in the molecule with 500-2000000 molecular weight are used as the above- mentioned polyanions and polystyrene, dextran sulfate, etc., are preferably used.
