To provide an ethylene inhibitor that has long-term storage stability and is saved from the danger of explosion accompanied by handling cyclopropene precursor compounds.
Stable and safe cyclopropanes which are cyclopropene precursors that can be readily converted to gaseous cyclopropenes by bringing it into contact with a reducing agent or a nucleophilic reagent is used as an ethylene inhibitor.
