Abstract:
To provide a liquid skin cleansing composition.
Disclosed is a liquid soap composition which comprises: (a) about 1 wt.% to about 50 wt.% of a fatty acid salt; (b) about 0.1 wt.% to about 10 wt.% of a crosslinked alkali-swellable acrylic emulsion polymer; and (c) about 0.1 wt.% to about 20 wt.% of an acidifying agent. The liquid soap composition exhibits good stability at elevated storage temperature. In accordance with a general embodiment of the present invention, the liquid cleansing soap comprises a fatty acid salt soap base, a crosslinked alkali-swellable acrylic emulsion polymer, and an acidifying agent.
