Abstract:
To provide a topical anesthetic composition of a basic oxethazaine, excellent in storage stability for a long period, exhibiting excellent immediate action and sustained action of inhibiting various kinds of pains and an itch, having good preparation uniformity, having an effect of improved transmucosal or percutaneous absorption, and efficacious in a low concentration.
This topical anesthetic composition excellent in the storage stability is given by dispersing the basic oxethazaine or its salt in a pharmaceutically acceptable hydrocarbon.
