Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a stack device which can improve an execution speed.
CONSTITUTION: This stack device has a RAM 3 which stores data, a selecting circuit 11 which selects one of a program counter(PC) output 2 and a RAM output 10 as input data to a RAM 3, and an output latch 15 which stores the output data of this selecting circuit 11. When the data are written in the RAM 3, the selecting circuit 11 selects the PC output 2 and stores the data even in the output latch 15. Further, when the data are read out of the RAM 3, the data is not read out of the RAM 3 directly, and the data stored in the output latch 15 are read out. Consequently, it becomes unnecessary to wait for access to the RAM 3 and the execution speed can be improved.
