Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the capacity of stacked ceramic capacitor with high reliability and moreover, in a small size by a method wherein the capacitor is constituted of a dielectric ceramic material, which is not reduced even if being fired in a reducing atmosphere and is not turned semiconductive.
SOLUTION: A dielectric ceramic layer 2 consists of a barium titanate containing 0.02wt.% or lower of an alkaline metal oxide, at least one kind or more out of scandium oxide and yttrium oxide, at least one kind or more out of samarium oxide, europium oxide and gadolinium oxide and at least one kind or more out of manganese oxide, cobalt oxide and nickel oxide. 0.5 to 5.0mol of magnesium oxide is added to 100mol of the main component, which is shown by the formula I, of the layer 2 and is contained in the main component and moreover, the sum of the main component and the magnesium oxide is set as 100 pts.wt. to make 0.2 to 3.0 pts.wt. of Al2O3-Mo-B2O3 glass oxide contain in the 100 pts.wt. Internal electrodes 4 are constituted of nickel or a nickel alloy. α, β, γ, m, x and y, which are shown by the formula I, are set as values, which are shown by the formulas 11 to IX.
